Eight steps to a new smile
From diagnosis to placement: how the G8 protocol is structured.

First, a plan
A smile transformation does not begin by choosing a veneer shade. First, we need to understand the starting point: the condition of the teeth, jaw movements and the person’s wishes. Method G8 brings these questions into a structured protocol, from the initial assessment to the placement of permanent restorations.
The eight steps describe the sequence of care, rather than an identical treatment for everyone. Not everyone needs additional treatment or implants. The individual plan and timing are determined after assessment and discussed in person.
What we assess at your first visit
The first step is assessment. We take a medical history, CT images, photographs and a 3D scan. Modjaw analysis helps us examine joints and movements. These findings provide the starting information for the work ahead.
At the consultation, we also discuss what you would like to change. Shape, shade and the overall impression of a smile belong together. We begin by getting to know you and discussing your wishes, before moving on to modelling.

See your smile before the main treatment
In the second step, we create a 3D model of the proposed smile. We try it directly on your teeth: this is known as a mock-up. It gives us a concrete reference when discussing shape and shade.
These are not the final veneers. The try-in lets you see the proposed direction and agree on the details before the main treatment begins. Our aim is an individual smile that suits your face, rather than a repeated template.

When additional stages are needed
Steps three and four cover additional treatment and implants. Any treatment needed before veneers is included according to the assessment findings. Where teeth are missing, implants may be required.
Both stages are included only when needed. They are not a mandatory part of every smile transformation. That is why we discuss the scope and sequence of your treatment alongside the appearance you would like to achieve.
From temporary to permanent restorations
Once the plan is agreed, the protocol moves to the lower and upper teeth. The lower teeth are prepared first and fitted with temporary restorations, followed by the try-in and placement of permanent restorations. Next come preparation of the upper teeth, scanning and temporary restorations. The final step is the try-in and placement of permanent ceramic veneers or crowns.
These stages belong to one plan. The try-in, preparation and placement follow the earlier assessment and agreed model. Below is a concise overview of all eight steps.
The eight-step overview
Diagnosis
Medical history, CT imaging, photographs and 3D scanning. Modjaw analysis of joint function and movement.
Modelling
A 3D model is tried on your teeth as a mock-up of your future smile. We agree on the shape and shade.
Additional treatment
Preparing teeth for veneers. The scope of treatment is determined by the diagnostic findings.
Dental implants
Placing supports where teeth are missing. This stage is included when needed.
Preparing the lower teeth
Tooth preparation and temporary restorations.
Placing the lower restorations
Try-in and placement of permanent restorations.
Preparing the upper teeth
Tooth preparation, scanning and temporary restorations.
Placing the upper restorations
Try-in and placement of permanent ceramic veneers or crowns.
How much time to allow
The Method G8 page gives a protocol timeframe of 1–1.5 months. This is not a promise of the same duration for everyone: additional treatment, implants and your individual timing are discussed at the consultation.
It helps to understand what each visit is for, as well as the number of appointments. The protocol separates assessment, modelling, preparation and placement. The sequence and timing for your own plan are clarified in person.
Start with a personal conversation
If you are considering a change to your smile, start with a consultation. We will discuss your concerns, the changes you would like to see and the options available after assessment. Method G8 provides a clear structure for that work, while your treatment plan remains individual.
